One of my email accounts is not processed by Spami

Beitragvon CaseyC » 19. Aug 2009, 19:25

I have a total of seven email accounts on two servers (6, including my default on one server and one on a different server). When retrieving mail only the six accounts on the same server display the Spami status window, the single account does not. I have verified this by retrieving mail on an account by account basis, and only the ones on the same server display the status window. For the lone account, Outlook reads the mail directly into the "Inbox". Is there a configeration that I can't find??????

Thanks,

Hello Klaus Dieter,

at first sight, your problem sounds like you overlooked to change the mail-account settings ... Please take a look into the account concerned, and give feedback, wether I'm right or wrong. :)

Thank you for the quick reply.

I ran the Wizard and told it to configure Outlook. It came back with one account, the one that is not being scanned. The only problem is the pop3 info and the username were not the ones that I have in Outlook. They apparently came from somewhere else. As an aside, no matter how many times I run the Wizard, it comes up with the same information and tells me that Outlook has been configured when it is finished, i.e. it keeps finding the same account over and over again. Any ideas on how to find where the bogus info is coming from?

Thanks,
Klaus Dieter

Hello Klaus Dieter!

Probably, you need to configure the concerning mail accounts manually. Please take a look into the online help, and read the appropriate chapter about configuring the mail client. Further helpful informations you can find in Zaxons recommendations.

Thank you Chactory.....

I manually changed my account settings, and all is well now. The wizard was retrieving the proper information, but apparently was not storing it in the account information after modifying it for spami.

Thanks,
Klaus Dieter
